With its historic buildings and monuments dating back several centuries, this département never ceases to attract visitors from France and all over the world. You can discover museums that will take you to the heart of French culture, such as the Alexandra David-Néel Museum in Digne-les-Bains, or the Musée Promenade de la Réserve Géologique de la Haute Provence.
Among the buildings of artistic interest are some that are emblematic and rich in history, such as the Remparts d'Entrevaux, the Donjon-Clocher de Thoard and the Châteaux d'Allemagne en Provence. As a result, the département boasts a wealth of architectural treasures that add to its charm and make it stand out as one of the most important heritage areas in the whole of France.
