Off-Season Holidays in the Alpes de Haute Provence
There are many advantages to going on holiday off-season. First of all, many deals and attractive rates are to be had. With pleasant temperatures and more than 280 days of sunshine per year, there is nothing better than enjoying the peace and quiet of nature during the off-season at our campsite in the Alpes de Haute Provence. In the spring, days get longer and become more pleasant, and we also enjoy an Indian summer before the arrival of winter.
You will find all many amenities for a seamless stay: a bar and restaurant, a fresh bread and pastries service, a water park with heated swimming pools, slides and a paddling pool for the little ones. All this in a serene atmosphere.
Your Advantages
Take advantage of "Off Season" deals. The longer you stay, the less you pay, thanks to our system whereby 7 = 6, 14 = 11 and 21 = 15 nights. You can benefit from these discounts until 05 July incl. and from 27 August 2024.
The campsite accepts ACSI, ANWB Keycard, CKE and ADAC cards and offers a discount to FFCC members.
A special rate is offered to campers who stop overnight between 18:00 and 10:00.
On the Riverbank
Sunêlia l'Hippocampe is situated along the Durance Rriver, home to many bird species. A LPO (League for the Protection of Birds) refuge, the campsite is right in the middle of the Haute Provence Bird Reserve, where you can observe 140 species at different times of the year.
At dawn, the squirrels come out of their nests in search of food and towards evening, the coypu and beavers appear at the river's edge.
You can also go fishing directly from the campsite, where trout, carp, pike... are waiting for you.

Off-season temperatures allow for outdoor activities all year round. We are truly privileged.
Hiking
As the temperatures are very pleasant, the low season is ideal for hiking.
Biking, Mountain Biking & E-Biking
Waiting for you are beautiful trails in the hills around the campsite. Who fancies a nice electric bike ride up the mountain of Lure?
Enjoy a picnic at the top, whereyou will have a 360° view of the Alps, Mont Ventoux, the Alpilles and the lavender fields of Valensole.
Colourful Landscapes at the Heart of Provence
The Hippocampe campsite benefits from an ideal position, providing easy access to the entire region.
The scenery is breathtaking! With cherry, apple and apricot trees, the spring blossoms transport you to wonderland.
The tulip fields at La Brillanne make you think you're in another country! The fields of rapeseed and poppies bloom next.
From mid-June to mid-July, lavender fields and sunflowers as far as the eye can see will dazzle you.
